Recently, I travelled around the Tokyo city with my classmates which was a really excellent experience.
There are many great temples and Shinto Shrine on the mountain,
like the picture on the top.
The building in this picture is the most important Buddhist temples in this mountain which is called the 薬王院. That means the house for the king of medecine. Comparing with other Buddhist temples in East Asia area, this is a very big temple. The building of picture is only a part of it. It have many similar buidlings in the whole temple.

On the top of the Mt. Takao, we saw the Mt. Fuji, even the weather was not so good at that day. Hopefully, we can climb the Mt. Fuji for the rest of time in this semester.

At the another weekend, I went to Shinjuku Gyo-en which is a beautiful and huge garden in the downtown area of Tokyo.

Shinjuku Gyo-en was a royal garden owned by the Emperor many years ago. The word “Gyo” in the name means its royal attribute. Now, the government become its operator and open to publics.
Many Japanese movie and anime had a view of it. One of my favorite is an anime movie called The Garden of Words. In this movie, Shinjuku Gyo-en is a very important place. Personally, I highly recommend it.

Also, going to the Odaiba to see the beautiful views of Tokyo Bay was a wonderful experience.

Odaiba is a huge man-made island in Tokyo Bay.
The government of Japan showed their idea about future city in Odaiba. The buildings at this place look like mordern and high-tech.

Here is a interesting stuff! There is a mini Statue of Liberty in Odaiba. It’s also from France!
The short trip around Tokyo was interesting!
Personally, walking around the city is the best way to know their culture.
